O2Gold Begins Drilling At Aurora Mine Targets
O2Gold (TSXV: OTGO) this morning announced the commencement of drilling at its flagship project in Colombia. The commencement of drilling follows the receipt of geophysical results for the property.

Initial drilling is set to amount to 2,000 metres in aggregate on the mine targets at the project, before the program potentially expands a further 8,000 metres to a total 10,000 metres in drilling. Initial drilling is set to target the Aurora mine targets, while the potential expanded program would focus on brownfield targets on the property, including the Quintanillo and Aparecida targets in 2021.
In terms of the geophysical results from the property, the company has interpreted the Quintanillo mine’s vein structure that is 1.2 kilometres long. Also discovered are two potential extensions of the Aurora vein system and two associated orthogonal vein structures. On a combined basis, the Aurora-Quintanillo targets amount to roughly 4.2 kilometres of strike length.
O2Gold last traded at $0.24 on the TSX Venture.
