OnlyFans Launches NFT Profile Picture Feature

Adult content website OnlyFans has expanded its niche, and is now offering users the option to upload an NFT as their profile picture.

As first reported by Reuters, online subscription platform OnlyFans will now allow content creators to use a verified NFT as their profile picture. “Our mission is to empower creators to own their full potential,” said OnlyFans CEO Ami Gan, who replaced Tim Stokely back in December. “This feature is the first step in exploring the role that NFTs can play on our platform.”

Only those NFTs minted on the ethereum blockchain will be supported, and the users’ profile picture will come affixed with an ethereum icon to prove their authenticity. OnlyFans said it has been working on the feature since December, in an effort to align itself with a future that intersects between the pornography business and cryptocurrencies.
