Patriot Battery Metals Reports Spodumene Pegmatite Intersected In Nine Holes Under Summer Drill Program

Patriot Battery Metals (CSE: PMET) released an update this morning on its ongoing summer drill program at its flagship Corvette Property, located in Quebec. The program as a whole is expected to consist of 15,000 metres of drilling, focused largely on infill and step out holes.

To date a total of 3,110 metres of drilling has been completed under the current program via a total of nine holes. Two rigs are currently conducting the program, with a third drill rig expected to arrive sometime next month.

Each drill hole thus far is said to have intersected spodumene pegmatite on a preliminary basis, with varying widths of intersects being present. The main body is now measured at a strike length of 1.7 kilometres, with the latest data extending strike by 300 metres. Further drilling will now be focused on extending strike to the southwest, as well as at depth.

“The summer drill program is going exceptionally well, and we could not be more pleased with the pegmatite intercepts we are seeing downhole. [..] The field crews are doing a great job and are having early and significant success in identifying new spodumene-pegmatite occurrences, as well as extending existing occurrences, thereby enabling us to prioritize the next steps in exploration,” commented CEO Blair Way.

Surface exploration is also ongoing at the property, with field crews discovering what is said to be several new spodumene-bearing outcrops. The outcrops are roughly 150 metres southwest of the CV5 outcrop, and 200 metres along strike from CV3. Samples have reportedly been sent for assays from these new discoveries. Prospecting, mapping, and sampling is set to continue across the 25 kilometre prospective trend across the property.

Patriot Battery Metals last traded at $2.86 on the CSE.
