Power Nickel Intersects 1.40% Nickel Over 10.3 Metres At Nisk Property

Power Nickel (TSXV: PNPN) continues to see positive results from exploration at its Nisk nickel-copper-cobalt-PGE property in the James Bay Region of Quebec. Further assays have been released from the ongoing drill problem, which include several notable intersects.

Results from a total of five holes were released this morning, with the assays extending the known mineralization by 150 metres at depth. Highlights from the latest results include:

  • PN-22-011: 5.20 metres of 0.99% nickel, 0.68% copper, 0.06% cobalt, 0.99 g/t palladium and 0.52 g/t platinum
  • PN-22-012: 10.25 metres of 1.40% nickel, 0.88% copper, 0.09% cobalt, 2.52 g/t palladium and 0.56 g/t platinum
    • Including 6.85 metres of 1.93% nickel, 1.06% copper, 0.12% cobalt, 3.60 g/t palladium, 0.29 g/t platinum
  • PN-22-014: 3.50 metres of 1.23$ nickel, 0.73% copper, 0.07% cobalt, 3.17 g/t palladium, 0.36 g/t platinum
  • PN-220-017: 8.00 metres of 0.66% nickel, 0.17% copper, 0.04% cobalt, 0.50 g/t palladium, 0.09 g/t platinum

A total of fourteen holes were drilled under the fall drill program, of which the assays for ten holes have now been released. A further seven have been drilling under the 2023 winter program, with drilling slated to continue through to late April or early May.

“The results in Holes PN-22-011 and PN-22-012 were significant, maintaining a very high NIEQ Flow that is continuing at depth. Peripheral holes PN-22-014, and PN-22-017 showed to be just outside the river of nickel but even so had some interesting kicker zones. Adding these holes to holes 22-009 from earlier in the campaign and PN-21-003A from the first drill program and we are seeing a very robust drill response,” commented CEO Terry Lynch.

Separately, the company has indicated that it will be using what is referred to as ambient noise tech to assist in visualizing the current deposit, with the focus being the main Nisk zone. That tech will then be used to identify a signature for high NIEQ zones that may exist throughout the Nisk property.
