RooGold Closes Out Sampling Program At Arthurs Seat Project

RooGold (CSE: ROO) has completed a rock chip sampling program conducted at its Arthurs Seat Project in New South Wales, Australia. The program was conducted along structural and geological contacts at the property.

A total of 274 rock chip samples were collected under the program, with the field exploration team identifying the presence of “significant hydrothermal alteration,” with multiple quartz veins visible. Additionally, at the Murrays and Co Mine and McDonalds Prospect, the company noted the presence of visible silver-antimony mineralization.

With 115 assays still pending from the program, a total of 159 assays from the samples have been received by the firm. Results indicate widespread, low-level mineralization, and confirms the presence of a larger hydrothermal mineral system.

“RooGold has completed a successful, first pass rock chip sampling program at the Arthurs Seat Project, New South Wales. Preliminary assay results have been received and confirm low-level, widespread silver-antinomy geochemical anomalism within the project. Our field geologists have identified multiple sets of quartz veins at key prospects containing silver-antimony minerals and we look forward to receiving further assay results in the near term,” commented CEO Carlos Espinosa.

With regards to the assays, the highest level of mineralization include 3.9 ppm silver, 31,600 ppm arsenic, 7.4 ppm antimony, 2.7 ppm tungsten, 4.3 ppm tin and 559 ppm bismuth within sample R00148. In terms of gold, the best sample had 0.11 ppm gold, 5.03% arsenic, 165 ppm bismuth, and 2.36 ppm silver, in sample R00156.

RooGold last traded at $0.045 on the CSE.
