Terra Balcanica Intersects Massive Sulfides In Two Step-Out Holes

Terra Balcanica Resources (CSE: TERA) this morning has extended the strike of its polymetallic sulphide veins at the firms Viogor-Zanik project in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The extension follows two step out holes being conducted on the Cumavici Target.

The two step out holes were focused on testing the down-dip extensions of the veins, with the drill locations selected based on visual observations from hole CMVDD001. That hole ultimately intersected 824.2 g/t silver equivalent over 4.0 metres, which was the maiden drill hole for the project.

Highlights from this mornings data includes:

  • CMVDD002: a shallow semi-massive sulphide vein was intersected at a depth of 45 metres, with the core containing colloform-crustiform banded sphalerite-galena
  • CMVDD003: a vein was intersected with 9 meters of visible massive sulphides, while 2 metres of semi-massive sulphides were intersected at a depth of 91 metres, with veins said to contain stibnite, sphalerite, and galena

Assay results from the two holes are expected to be released shortly.

The intersection of more vein hosted mineralization over 80 meters away from the initial high-grade drill hole at Cumavici is very encouraging and confirms the potential size of this shallow epithermal system. The visible signatures seen are analogous to polymetallic epithermal vein systems elsewhere in the Balkans featuring sphalerite, galena, and stibnite,” commented CEO Dr Aleksandar Miskovic.

Future drilling is set to focus on testing the continuity of the vein system following the earlier successes seen by the company, which is said to be 7.2 kilometres long.
