Cuts 465 Metres of 0.6 g/t Gold From Surface at Ceibal Target

Tiger Gold Cuts 465 Metres of 0.6 g/t Gold From Surface at Ceibal Target

Tiger Gold (TSXV: TIGR) has released assay results from 3 diamond drill holes at the Ceibal target on its Quinchía gold project. The best grades so far came from the deepest part of the latest hole.

Hole CEDDH-019 cut 165.7 metres grading 0.9 g/t gold starting 284 metres downhole, including 36 metres at 2.9 g/t gold. Higher up, the same hole returned 232 metres of 0.5 g/t gold from surface. It was still in mineralization when it ended at 449.7 metres.

Highlights from the results include:

  • CEDDH-019: 0.9 g/t gold over 165.7 metres from a depth of 284 metres
    • Including 2.9 g/t gold over 36 metres from a depth of 400 metres
    • And 0.5 g/t gold over 232 metres from surface
  • CEDDH-018: 0.6 g/t gold over 465 metres from surface
    • Including 2.0 g/t gold over 6 metres from a depth of 70 metres
    • Including 1.2 g/t gold over 21 metres from a depth of 24 metres
  • CEDDH-017-AB: 0.6 g/t gold over 63.85 metres from surface

CEDDH-018 was mineralized over its full 465-metre length and also ended in mineralization. Several higher-grade zones sit inside that interval. Concerns over the stability of the drill pad cut CEDDH-017-AB short at 63.85 metres, well before its planned depth.

The holes hit porphyritic dacite and early diorite with potassic alteration overprinted by chlorite-sericite. Quartz-feldspar veinlets in the rock carried chalcopyrite and bornite. Copper grades were modest, ranging from 0.04% to 0.09% across the reported intervals. True widths are not yet known.

“These long intervals from surface, together with the higher grades now emerging at depth, are very encouraging and are deepening our understanding of the Ceibal system,” said Robert Vallis, president and CEO of Tiger Gold.

Ceibal lies about 1 kilometre south of the Miraflores deposit and 1 kilometre southwest of Tesorito, within the Marmato Fault Corridor of Colombia’s Mid-Cauca belt. Earlier drilling traced mineralization to roughly 800 metres below surface, and it remains open.

One rig is working at Ceibal as part of a drill program of about 20,000 metres. Two more are finishing infill, extension and gap drilling at Tesorito.

Tiger is aiming to publish a maiden mineral resource estimate near the end of the first quarter of 2027.

Tiger Gold last traded at $0.74 on the TSX Venture.
