Toogood Gold Corp (TSXV: TGC) this morning released preliminary results from a 2,000 metre drill program undertaken at their flagship Toogood project found on New World Island in Newfoundland.
Highlights from the results include:
- 25TG010: 14.48 g/t gold over 3.35 metres from a depth of 77.25 metres
- Including 72.53 g/t gold over 0.65 metres
- 25GT013: 3.33 g/t gold over 5.78 metres from a depth of 10.51 metres
- Including 10.55 g/t gold over 1.49 metres
- 25TG014: 2.20 g/t gold over 29.30 metres from a depth of 35.00 metres
- Including 11.42 g/t gold over 0.99 metres
The 2025 drill program is said to have been designed to systematically test for expansion and continuity of the Quinlan Zone, while also focusing on district-scale targeting across the entire property. Mineralized host felsic dyke was intercepted at the Quinlan Zone, with that style of mineralization encountered on all holes drilled to date, while visible gold has been identified in 10 of the 30 drill holes logged so far this year.

“These results confirm strong continuity along strike and at depth, with new geophysics pointing to expansion potential well beyond the current 350-meter drill-tested extent. With assays pending from more than half of the program, we are just beginning to realize the scale of this discovery opportunity,” commented Colin Smith, CEO of Toogood Gold.
The drill program conducted this year saw a total of 33 holes drilled, with drilling at Quinlan targeting a 350 metre strike length that was tested to a depth of 100 metres. Regional drilling meanwhile focused on the Melange Contact where an 18-kilometre length district scale lithological boundary exists, with drill logging currently ongoing from that portion of the program.

Toogood Gold Corp last traded at $0.40 on the TSX Venture.
