Trump Wants To End The War In Ukraine, Offers To Lead Peace Settlement Negotiations

On Truth Social on Wednesday, Donald Trump offered to “head up a group” to help negotiate a peace settlement as tensions escalate after leaks were discovered in the Nord Stream pipelines, as “the entire world is at stake.”

On Monday, the Swedish Maritime Administration confirmed leaks in the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines. The timing of the events suggests that the leaks are the result of a targeted attack. The following day, the Swedish National Seismology Centre recorded “powerful subsea blasts” around the area of the Nord Stream pipeline leaks, putting more weight on the attack theory.

As the Dutch and German governments investigate, European leaders have suggested the possibility of Russian interference. Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen have said that the leaks are “an act of sabotage,” and “deliberate actions,” respectively. And as the cause of the leaks remains unexplained, speculations are aplenty.

But Trump took this a notch higher and said that the situation “could lead to major escalation, or War!” before reminding his followers that he thinks “the Russia/Ukraine catastrophe should NEVER have happened, and would definitely not have happened if I were President.”

In his single term as president of the United States, Trump constantly talked about his close relationship with the Russian leader, saying that he knows Putin “very well.” He has also praised the autocratic leader multiple times on separate occasions, calling the leader “smart.”

In contrast, Trump mocked Biden on Truth Social, putting the word leadership between quotation marks, and recommended that the president should “be strategic, be smart (brilliant!)” and to “get a negotiated deal done NOW” before offering up his services as leader.
