West Red Lake Gold Announces 2022 Exploration Plan

West Red Lake Gold Mines (CSE: RLG) last night revealed its exploration plans for the oncoming spring and summer season. The company has indicated it plans to conduct further drilling as well as channel sampling across its West Red lake Gold Project within northwestern Ontario.

West Red Lake intends to conduct a spring summer program focused on the Porphyry HIll Zone, which is found on the northeast end of the NT Zone. Drilling here is said to consist of “a series of holes to target gold mineralization,” however details on how many holes specifically, or the size of the overall drill program was not provided.

A second drill program is also planned for the fall, however further details were not provided.

“We look forward to starting our drill program this spring at the Porphyry Hill Zone with the objective of expanding the gold mineralization along the northeast portion of the NT Zone. During the summer, the Company also plans additional surface sampling work at the Rowan Mine plus metallurgical testing of Rowan gold zone mineralization to obtain improved definition of Rowan gold mineralization,” commented John Kontak, President of the company.

Outside of drilling, several zones are expected to see sampling occur. At Zone 104D, found near to the Rowan Mine Shaft, the company intends to conduct further surface channel sampling as a follow up to exploration conducted last year. At the NT Zone, surface channel sampling will also take place on the southern end of the zone that is near to previous drilling conducted on the zone.

West Red Lake Gold last traded at $0.06 on the CSE.
