Aliens? Locals in Peru Claim Face-offs with 7ft-Tall Armored Extraterrestrial Beings

Reports have emerged from a remote area in Peru, where locals belonging to the Ikitu indigenous people in the rural district of Alto Nanay, northeast of Lima, claim to have encountered armored “strange beings” that are 7 feet tall with large heads and piercing yellow eyes.

A 15-year-old young woman reportedly suffered an attack from one of these beings, sustaining a slash to her neck.

A local report cited community leader Jairo Reátegui Ávila, who called the creatures “aliens” and said that they had the uncanny ability to vanish at will.

“These gentlemen are aliens. They seem armored like the green goblin from Spider-Man. I have shot him twice and he does not fall, but rises and disappears. We are frightened by what is happening in the community,“ Reátegui Ávila said.

Green Goblin or tree?

Comparisons have also been drawn between the descriptions of the alleged aliens and the armored creatures seen in the Predator franchise.

“Their color is silver, their shoes are round in shape and with that, they rise up. They float one meter high and have a red light on the heel. Their heads are long… and their eyes are yellowish. With that, they see you well and they leave. They are experts at escaping,” he added.

Authorities are taking the reports seriously, with both the police and the navy launching investigations into the claims. The locals are urging for military presence in the area, emphasizing the urgency of the situation. Community leaders have expressed their concern, recounting menacing encounters with the “strange beings” that have been ongoing since July 11.

It’s not the aliens they should be scared of … for now

Amid the flurry of theories surrounding these encounters, a more down-to-earth notion has also emerged, suggesting that the beings could be drones adorned with cloths and masks, potentially orchestrated by illegal miners to intimidate the community. It could also be linked to drug trafficking and gang violence in the area.

“They can’t see their faces and their bodies are floating. They use their arms for balance [when flying], but they walk normally. Every time we arrive, they fly with an activation of something on the bottom of their feet. They have wheels with lights,” Reátegui Ávila described the creatures.

Peruvian ufologist Anthony Choy noted that these accounts might be a result of mass hysteria and a blending of real-life reports of human trafficking, folklore, and so-called accounts of alien abductions from nearby areas.

He also pointed to legends of mythical figures known as pelacaras or “face peelers,” which might have contributed to the narratives — an old video portraying a possible pelacaras attack has been making rounds online.

Original video source is unconfirmed (and content is also likely fake)

The terrified community members have organized patrols armed with shotguns to protect themselves.
