Amex Exploration Hits 1.51 G/T Gold Over 81.50 Metres At Perron

Amex Exploration (TSXV: AMX) this morning released assay results from several drill holes from its Perron gold project, located in the Abitibi region of Quebec. The results come from the Denise Zone of the Eastern Gold Zone. Highlights from the results include hole PE-20-199, which intersected 81.50 metres of 1.51 g/t gold as well as hole PE-20-204, which intersected 187.00 metres of 0.66 g/t gold.

The results reported this morning are said to improve the open pit potential for the entire Eastern Gold Zone, with mineralization consistency and continuity improving with further drilling. Mineralization at the Denise Zone, which is within this Eastern Gold Zone, largely consists of disseminated low grade mineralization, along with high grade mineralization found within narrow quartz veins and veinlets.

Highlights from the drill results can be found below, while full results can be found here.

  • Hole PE-20-199 intersected 81.50 metres of 1.51 g/t gold at a vertical depth of approximately 190 metres.
  • Hole PE-20-204 intersected 187.00 metres of 0.66 gold Au at vertical depth of approximately 180 metres and within this large interval, 35.50 metre of 1.54 g/t Au as well as 3.50 metres of 9.07 g/t gold was intersected.
  • Hole PE-20-201 intersected 22.00 metres of 0.82 g/t gold at a vertical depth of approximately 180 metres.
  • Hole PE-20-193 intersected 39.00 metres of 0.84 g/t gold at a vertical depth of approximately 650 metres.

Amex’s Perron property is located near NorMetal, Quebec, consisting of 117 adjacent claims that cover a total area of 4,560 hectares. The property is adjacent to the NewMetal property held by Starr peak Exploration (TSXV: STE), which hosts the past producing NorMetal Mine.

The company this morning also announced that it has seen the resignation and replacement of its CFO, Martin Nicoletti. Taking his place will be that of Patrick Musampa, whom operates a consulting firm, MGM Ressources Conseil Inc, for which he acts as Chief Accountant of Nyrstar, as well as CFO of Maya Gold and Silver.

Amex Exploration last traded at $3.07 on the TSX Venture.
