Andean Precious Metals (TSX: APM) announced Friday that its president, Yohann Bouchard, will step down from his executive role and the board of directors effective March 31. The departure comes just over a year after his appointment to the post.
The company stated that the decision for Bouchard and the firm to part ways was mutual. To ensure a smooth transition, Bouchard will remain with the producer in a consulting capacity for an unspecified period.
Bouchard’s exit marks the end of a relatively short chapter in the company’s senior leadership. He was appointed president in February 2025, having previously served as an independent director on Andean’s board since late 2022. During his tenure, he was tasked with overseeing mining operations and driving the company’s strategic growth vision across its assets in Bolivia and the United States.
A veteran of the mining industry with over 25 years of experience, Bouchard joined Andean following senior roles at New Gold Inc. and Yamana Gold. His departure follows a period where Andean has been actively positioning itself for a broader market presence, including recent efforts to list on the New York Stock Exchange.
The leadership change comes on the heels of the company reporting record financial results for 2025. Earlier this week, Andean posted record revenue and adjusted EBITDA, supported by strong production at its San Bartolomé facility in Bolivia and the Golden Queen mine in California.
Executive Chairman and CEO Alberto Morales, who has been leading the company’s recent expansion strategy, thanked Bouchard for his contributions in a brief statement. The company did not immediately name a successor for the presidency or the vacated board seat.
Andean Precious Metals last traded at $6.01 on the TSX.
