Antimony Resources (CSE: ATMY) this morning reported that they have completed a first phase drill program at their flagship Bald Hill Antimony Project, which is found in New Brunswick.

The drill program saw a total of 3,150 metres drilled across 16 holes, with the program focused on the Bald Hill Main Zone. Massive antimony bearing stibnite is said to have been intersected in an estimated 70% of the drill holes conducted, with hole BH-25-05 said to have intersected antimony bearing stibnite over 20 metres. With the completion of the program, over 40 drill holes are now said to have tested the Main Zone.

Samples have been submitted to Actlabs in Fredericton for the assessment of antimony, gold and other metals, with over 1,500 samples reported to have been submitted for assay.

Antimony Resources has indicated that the program encountered massive antimony stibnite, stibnite veins, and stibnite bearing breccia. Surface expressions of the vein and breccia system is said to strike north northwest, while dipping vertically steeply to the southwest. Prospecting has identified that zones of massive antimony bearing stibnite mineralization on surface extend for at least 200 metres from current drill locations, bringing total mineralization on surface to a distance of over 400 metres, which remains open along strike and to depth.

“I am very pleased with the diamond drilling to date. The identification of antimony bearing stibnite in a majority of the holes indicates that the Bald Hill Main Zone is a high-grade antimony deposit. We are anxiously awaiting the next batch of assay which should be released from the laboratory soon. As the drilling progressed batches of samples were submitted to the laboratory on a regular basis, which should mean a continuous flow of results over the next couple of months,” commented Jim Atkinson, CEO of Antimony Resources.

While the majority of assays remain outstanding from the 16-hole program, assay results from the first holes conducted were previously released. Hole BH-25-04 notably intersected 4.17% antimony and 0.39 g/t gold over 7.40 metres at a depth of 106.6 metres, with that hole seeing smaller intersects with grades as high as 28.8% antimony. Hole BH-25-03 meanwhile intersected 2.76% antimony over 2.8 metres from a depth of 78.2 metres, alongside 0.52 g/t gold.

A historical technical report completed for the Bald Hill project had identified the potential for between 705,000 and 1,000,000 metrics tonnes at grades between 4% and 5% antimony exists at the property.

Antimony Resources last traded at $0.165 on the CSE.
