Further assay results have been released by Antimony Resources (CSE: ATMY), who is exploring their Bald Hill Antimony Project in New Brunswick. The results come from a phase one drill program that saw a total of 16 drill holes conducted on site across an aggregate 3,150 metres.
The phase one program successfully intersected multiple occurrences of antimony-bearing stibnite, with the Main Zone now said to have been identified over a 400 metre long strike and to a depth of 400 metres. Mineralization encountered includes massive antimony-bearing stibnite, veins, and stibnite bearing breccia. The zone has been identified to present at surface, striking to the north north-west and dips vertically steeply to the southwest.
Highlights from the results include:
- BH-25-11: 5.27% antimony over 4.95 metres from a depth of 140.35 metres
- BH-25-12: 19.00% antimony over 0.40 metres from a depth of 30.00 metres
- And 5.82% antimony over 2.65 metres from a depth of 255.45 metres
- BH-25-13: 5.55% antimony over 1.35 metres from a depth of 39.45 metres
- BH-25-14: 1.80% antimony over 3.55 metres from a depth of 45.25 metres
- BH-25-15: 0.58% antimony over 8.60 metres from a depth of 105.30 metres
Holes BH-25-13 and BF-25-14 notably were drilled to test the southern extension of the Main Zone, successfully extending the zone by over 100 metres, while hole BH-25-12 encountered antimony-bearing stibnite mineralization in a total of five zones. Hole BH-25-16 meanwhile represents the deepest hole drilled to date on site, intersecting the Main Zone at a depth of 400 metres, before ending in mineralization.
WATCH: Highest Grade Antimony Mine in the World!? | James Atkinson – Antimony Resources

“The Phase One drilling program at Bald Hill has been completed and we are very pleased with the results. Significant high-grade antimony has been intersected in over 75% of our drillholes. We are working with consultants to prepare an updated 3-D Model which will assist us in the next phase of exploration and be used to determine the continuity and distribution of the zones of antimony mineralization. This information will guide us in our on-going drilling and in the determination of our ability to complete a Maiden resource,” commented Jim Atkinson, CEO of Antimony Resources.
A second phase of exploration is expected to begin in mid-September, which is to include exploration on the wider property.
Antimony Resources last traded at $0.215 on the CSE.
