Aya Gold & Silver Produces 439,149 Silver Ounces Grading At 297 G/T In Q2 2021

Aya Gold & Silver Inc. (TSX: AYA) shared today its quarterly production results for Q2 2021 at the Zgrounder Silver mine in Morocco, recording silver production of 439,149 ounces. This is an increase from Q1 2021’s silver production of 389,132 ounces.

The quarterly silver production had an average grade of 297 g/t silver, compared to last quarter’s 296 g/t silver.

The mining company also noted an improvement in silver recovery for its flotation plant, reaching 84.2% this quarter from 81.9% last quarter. The recovery rate at the cyanidation plant dipped to 78.8% this quarter compared to last quarter’s 83.7%. The plant availabilities for the flotation and cyanidation plants are at 86% and 93% this quarter, respectively.

The company is in the middle of its 41,000-metre drilling program at the Zgrounder zone for 2021, from which it reported drill results earlier this month highlighting an intersect of 2,887 g/t silver over 5.5 metres.
