Aya Gold & Silver Hits 2,728 G/T Silver Over 6.0 Metres

Aya Gold & Silver (TSX: AYA) this morning released initial assay results from its 2021 drill program at the Zgrounder Silver Mine. Highlights from the program include 2,728 g/t silver over 6.0 metres as well as 4,517 g/t silver over 3.5 metres within two separate holes.

Results released this morning come from a 40 hole drill program conducted at the property. The drilling was focused outside of the current resource envelope at the property as the firm looks to extend the strike length of the known mineralization to the east while confirming continuity and mineralization at depth.

The program saw ten holes drilled at surface, while the remainder was drilled at depth. 24 of the holes drilled at depth were for mine development as well as further exploration. A number of highlights came from the program, including:

  • ZG-SF-20-25: 2,728 g/t silver over 6.0 metres
  • ZG-SF-20-23: 4,517 g/t silver over 3.5 metres, 1,635 g/t silver over 7.5 metres
  • ZG-SF-20-18: 854 g/t silver over 12.0 metres

The results released this morning come from drilling that is part of an overall program consisting of 41,000 metres. Six drill rigs are currently on site, with four focused on surface drilling. 7,810 metres have been drilled to date.
