Cambria Gold Mines (TSXV: CAMB) has released a new round of infill assays from its Premier Gold Project, led by an underground intercept of 166.22 g/t gold and 3,383 g/t silver over 3.1 metres.
The results cover 6,923 metres from 70 surface and underground holes, largely targeting the Prew Zone of the Premier-Northern Light deposit.
Highlights include:
- P26U-0095: 166.22 g/t gold and 3,383 g/t silver over 3.1 metres from a depth of 13.9 metres
- P26U-0052: 42.88 g/t gold and 207 g/t silver over 3.0 metres from a depth of 8.0 metres
- P26U-0051: 37.38 g/t gold and 134 g/t silver over 5.0 metres from a depth of 16.0 metres
- P26U-0084: 31.26 g/t gold and 94 g/t silver over 4.0 metres from a depth of 4.0 metres
- P26-2705: 18.26 g/t gold and 34 g/t silver over 9.2 metres from a depth of 267.2 metres
- P26U-0049: 14.68 g/t gold and 32 g/t silver over 10.0 metres from a depth of 15.0 metres
Hole P26U-0095 includes a 1.1 metre section grading 467 g/t gold and 9,510 g/t silver. The company ties the grades to silver sulphosalts and native silver or electrum at the northeastern edge of the Prew Zone drilling.
“Ongoing infill drilling is showing strong continuity of high-grade mineralization,” said President and CEO Robert McLeod, noting that historically mined areas of the deposit produced over 40 million ounces of silver.
Farther southwest along the main Premier structure, P26-2705 cut its intercept about 10 metres past the end of the historic workings. Cambria believes the zone links to the 602 Zone drilled earlier this year and plans to follow it up from underground.
The company also expanded its Premier Mine Complex infill program to 42,000 metres, adding drilling at the Silver Coin deposit. First results from Silver Coin are expected in October, with drilling set to continue through the end of the year.
Cambria Gold Mines last traded at $0.85 on the TSX Venture.
