Cambria Gold Mines (TSXV: CAMB) has released the first assays from its 2026 infill drilling at the Silver Coin deposit, part of the Premier Gold Project in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle.
The results cover four diamond drill holes totaling 657 metres, drilled into the southern extension of a deposit that was last mined underground in the 1990’s. Highlight results include:
- SC26-2714: 98.56 g/t gold over 8.2 metres from a depth of 73.7 metres
- Including 794.00 g/t gold over 1.0 metre
- And 4.61 g/t gold over 16.0 metres from a depth of 105.0 metres
- Including 10.67 g/t gold over 5.0 metres
- SC26-2710: 22.62 g/t gold over 4.4 metres from a depth of 91.6 metres
- Including 93.80 g/t gold over 1.0 metre
- And 3.75 g/t gold over 20.0 metres from a depth of 123.0 metres
- Including 19.95 g/t gold over 1.0 metre
- SC26-2719: 4.55 g/t gold over 10.6 metres from a depth of 115.0 metres
- Including 15.25 g/t gold over 1.0 metre
- And 2.32 g/t gold over 30.0 metres from a depth of 81.0 metres
At Silver Coin, gold bearing base metal sulfide veins overprint quartz breccias that form both vertical and flat-lying domains. The highest grades come from visible gold inside the wider breccia zones.
The deposit sits 5 kilometres north of the Premier Mill and is connected to it by an existing haul road. Cambria plans to start underground development there in spring 2027. At restart, Silver Coin material will be blended with high grade feed from the Premier deposit to supply the 2,500 tonne per day mill while Red Mountain is built out.

The infill program marks a change in approach since new management took over in January. Speaking with The Deep Dive at the Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek, President and CEO Robert McLeod said the previous team “did not do enough infill” before laying out its mine plans.
“Companies tried to develop mine plans based on indicated resources or probable reserves versus having the adequate drill density to be able to go and mine with minimal dilution, with high confidence in terms of what the gold’s going to be,” McLeod said. “That’s really what we’ve been focusing on.”
Results from more than 14,000 metres of drilling at Silver Coin are expected over the coming weeks. They will feed into an updated mineral resource estimate and feasibility study targeted for the first half of 2027, and a second phase of underground drilling is planned for early 2027.
Elsewhere, Cambria has received the final permit for the Red Mountain access road and is targeting commissioning of the Premier Mill in the fourth quarter of 2027.
Cambria Gold last traded at $0.71 on the TSX Venture.
