Ocean Partners has deepened its position in Canadian Copper (CSE: CCI), exercising 12,725,000 warrants early and lifting its ownership of the copper developer to 21.3%.
The warrants carried an exercise price of $0.25, delivering gross proceeds of $3,181,250. Canadian Copper said the capital will be used to eliminate US$2 million of outstanding debt and further strengthen its balance sheet.
Ocean Partners UK Limited is not a passive holder. The metals trading and marketing firm has backed Canadian Copper through several financings and, in April, put an electable $48 million project debt facility on the table. Converting warrants into shares well ahead of their November 2026 expiry is a fairly direct statement about how it reads the company’s trajectory.
Roughly 23.7 million warrants from the November 2025 financing remain outstanding at the same $0.25 exercise price.

Separately, Canadian Copper picked up independent research coverage. Taylor Combaluzier, managing director and mining analyst at Ventum Capital Markets, initiated coverage on Aug. 4. Sell-side attention tends to carry outsized weight for small developers, widening the pool of people following the story and adding an outside voice to a narrative the company has largely been telling on its own.
The money lands in the middle of a busy stretch. Canadian Copper registered an environmental impact assessment for its Murray Brook project in July and closed a $43.8 million financing package with OR Royalties Inc. the same month. More recently, the company closed on the purchase of the Caribou Complex and assumed management and operation of the facility, as announced on August 4.
A feasibility study covering Murray Brook and the recently acquired Caribou processing complex is due in December.
Canadian Copper last traded at $0.69 on the CSE.
