CanAlaska Drills 24.82% eU3O8 Over 8.3 Metres At West McArthur
CanAlaska Uranium (TSXV: CVV) has released further assay results from a now-completed winter drill program conducted at its West McArthur project.
Highlights from the latest results include:
- WMA074-04: 17.6 metres of 9.10% eU3O8 from a depth of 792.0 metres
- Including 15.0 metres of 10.53% eU3O8
- WMA079-01: 8.3 metres of 24.82% eU3O8 from a depth of 810.2 metres
- Including 5.5 metres of 37.09% eU3O8
The winter drill program saw a total of 29 drill holes conducted, of which 22 intersected uranium mineralization. The program saw the footprint of the Pike Zone expanded, including the filling of the gap area where two previously interpreted high-grade pods were confirmed to be connected.

The Pike Zone was also expanded to both the west and east along strike, with strike now known to be at least 250 metres in length. That strike length is said to contain at least 130 metres of a high grade pod, with further mineralization then found to the east and west, with mineralization remaining open in both directions.

“This winter, the CanAlaska team has delivered two of the best drillholes to date at Pike Zone, highlighted most recently in drillhole WMA079-01. In addition, the winter drill program has infilled and proven continuity of high-grade uranium mineralization in the centre part of the zone and extended unconformity mineralization to at least 250 metres continuous strike length which remains open in both directions,” commented Cory Belyk, CEO of CanAlaska.
A summer drill program is currently scheduled to commence in June, with three drills set to test 15 additional unconformity targets.
CanAlaska Uranium last traded at $0.73 on the TSX Venture.
