CanAlaska Hits 11.62% eU3O8 Over 9.3 Metres In Athabasca Basin

CanAlaska Uranium (TSXV: CVV) has intersected high grade uranium mineralization at its West McArthur joint venture project in the Athabasca Basin of Saskatchewan. The discovery was made under an ongoing drill program at the project.

Highlights from the results include:

  • WMA082-8: 6.87% eU3O8 over 16.9 metres at a depth of 823.4 metres
    • Including 11.62% eU3O8 over 9.3 metres

The discovery was made in the second hole of the ongoing drill program, with the hole being the first step-out to the east of the Pike Zone. Continued drilling under the current program is intended to continue to delineate and expand the Pike Zone at the unconformity and upper basement.

The current drill program is expected to amount to 9,000 metres in aggregate, resulting in ten to fourteen holes being drilled into unconformity targets.

CanAlaska currently holds an 83.35% interest in the West McArthur joint venture, with the remainder held by Cameco Corp.
