Datametrex AI Limited (TSXV: DM) issued a small market update this morning, identifying that the company has completed and received two additional purchase orders for its COVID-19 test kits. The first, is a second order from a mining client located in Northern Canada, while the second is a mining client located in South America.
While the first order was the smaller of the two orders, coming in at $200,000, it was more significant in that it demonstrates there is a recurring need for COVID-19 testing. Similar in size to the first order, the client, Canadian Mining Royalties Inc, has now utilized Datametrex for a total of $400,000 worth of testing supplies.
The second order consisted of 2,000 test kits, which is being utilized by Canadian Royalties for the testing of its 1,000 employee work force at its copper and nickel mine in Nunavik, Quebec. Over 400 people are typically on site and in constant rotation of a fly-in and fly-out schedule, resulting in the need for continued testing to help reduce the spread of the virus.
The second order that was completed consists of a 30,000 unit order of 1copy test kits, for gross proceeds of $850,000. Another Canadian mining firm, this one undisclosed, has utilized the test kits for their South America based mining operation. Payment for this order has already been received in full by the company, demonstrating continued revenue growth by Datametrex.
“We are thrilled to be able to support the operations of these mining companies as they endeavour to protect their employees and minimize the dangers, risks, and impacts that COVID-19 has brought.”Marshall Gunter, CEO
Datametrex AI last traded at $0.15 on the TSX Venture.
