Filo Mining Drills 1,014 Metres Of 0.66% Copper In Latest Results

Filo Mining (TSX: FIL) continues to hit substantial intersections of copper mineralization at its flagship Filo del Sol project in Argentina. Assay results from three holes under the ongoing drill program were released last night, which continued to demonstrate the size of the porphyry the company has discovered.

  • FSDH086: 1,014 metres of 0.66% copper, 0.39 g/t gold, 9.3 g/t silver, from 400 metres, including 796 metres of 0.77% copper, 0.46 g/t gold and 4.2 g/t silver.
  • FSDH089: 541 metres of 0.61% copper, 0.65 g/t gold and 49.2 g/t silver from 136.0 metres, including 225.0 metres of 1.00% copper, 0.94 g/t gold and 3.8 g/t silver
  • FSDH095: 374 metres of 0.41% copper, 0.38 g/t gold, and 69.3 g/t silver from 122 metres, including 95 metres of 0.79% copper, 0.59 g/t gold and 2.8 g/t silver

“All three holes tagged our high-grade silver zone, and we intersected a new phase of the porphyry in hole 86, where we are seeing high-grade porphyry-style mineralization with unusually high gold grades and copper hosted by a chalcopyrite-bornite assemblage. This intersection is at the northwestern edge of our Aurora drilling and demonstrates the significant potential that still exists at Filo to find new styles of mineralization,” commented CEO Jamie Beck on the results.

Drilling meanwhile is ongoing, with nine rigs said to currently be active. The company also just completed its deepest hole to date, FSDH093, which was drilled to a total depth of 1,886.6 metres.

Filo Mining last traded at $18.45 on the TSX.
