Flat Gold Project: Tectonic Metals’ Tier One Opportunity
At The Rule Symposium in Boca Raton, Florida, Tony Reda, President and CEO of Tectonic Metals Inc. (TSX-V: TECT | OTCQB: TETOF | FSE: T15B), offered insights into the current landscape of junior mining markets, acknowledging challenges while emphasizing emerging opportunities.
Reda highlighted Tectonic’s recent Heap Leach metallurgical testing at their Flat Gold project, underscoring the potential advantages of Heap Leach mining. He addressed the recent incident at Victoria Gold and its industry-wide implications, while maintaining confidence in Heap Leach technology:
“We’re still optimistic and are continuing with this path and although that Victoria incident is a knock on the industry, I don’t think it really changes the way major mining companies are going to pursue opportunities because when done properly, and correctly, mines can coexist and they can operate without issues,” Reda stated. He cited Fort Knox, a successful heap leach mine in Alaska, as a positive example.
Looking ahead, Reda outlined Tectonic’s strategic options, including potential production or partnership with a major mining company. He detailed several upcoming catalysts for investors including metallurgical test results, historical assay results, some financing developments, and a planned drill program.
