Fyre Festival 2 Announced Again—This Time for May 2025

Eight years and a short prison sentence after the infamous 2017 disaster that was the Fyre Festival, fraudster Billy McFarland is back announcing new festival dates like they’re Tesla timelines.

The most recent iteration of the Fyre Festival 2 announcement now says it will take place from May 30 to June 2, 2025, on Isla Mujeres off the coast of Mexico.

And like the previous announcements, no other details — particularly a lineup — have been provided by McFarland, who incidentally still owes $26 million in restitution for the original festival.

Flashback:

The second installment’s tickets range from $1,400 to $1.1 million. The four pricing tiers are Fyre Ignite ($1,400), Fyre Fuego ($5,000), Fyre Phoenix ($25,000), and Prometheus God Of Fire ($1,100,000). The most expensive tier is a package for eight people, with amenities such as 24/7 chauffeur service, private flights, accommodation, and access to a private yacht or villa.

McFarland, who served four years in prison for fraud related to the original festival, said that this time, it will be different.

“FYRE 2 is real. My dream is finally becoming a reality,” he told Today this week. “FYRE 2 really isn’t about the past, and it’s not really about me. It’s about taking the vision, which is strong.”

The festival will be partially managed by Mexican concert production company LostNights, with Austin-based ticketing site SoldOut.com handling secondary ticket sales.

“All proceeds from Fyre Festival ticket sales on SoldOut.com are held securely and will not be settled with Fyre until after the event has successfully taken place,” according to SoldOut.com’s President Andrew Hentrich, who added that the company is fully insured.

Note though that primary ticket sales are still under McFarland/Fyre Festival and it’s unclear if sales through this channel can be refunded.

As mentioned, McFarland has yet to announce a lineup. He suggested the festival will feature performers across electronic, hip hop, pop, and rock genres, and potentially include additional activities like skateboarding demonstrations and MMA technique workshops.

The festival will be limited to 2,000 tickets. McFarland claims to have already sold 100 tickets at $500 each.
