Golden Cariboo Expands Exploration Program To Gold Ridge Claims

FULL DISCLOSURE: This is sponsored content for Golden Cariboo Resources.

Golden Cariboo Resources (CSE: GCC) has expanded its ongoing exploration program at the Quesnelle Gold Quartz property, found in British Columbia.

The expanded program will now see field activities occur at the Gold Ridge claims, which make up the eastern portion of the Quesnelle Gold property. Field work scheduled to occur here is to include geological mapping, prospecting, and stream sediment sampling. The program is intended to advance the exploration of the claims which historically have seen minimal work conducted.

The Gold Ridge claims overlay the Snowshoe Group, which is the same geological setting as what hosts Osisko Development’s Cariboo Gold project in Wells, BC. This geology is to be targeted for geochemical sampling under the field program.

Expansion of the field program follows Golden Cariboo mobilizing a field crew earlier this month to conduct surface mapping and prospecting at the Quesnelle Gold property. Initial plans called for the crew to focus on the north-northwesterly trend of mineralized showings at the property, which are known to extend for at least 1.9 kilometres across the property.

That trend is said to include the historic Quesnelle Quartz and Pioneer mines, while previously work along the trend identified the North Hixon zone, which sampled as high as 9.87 g/t gold in float samples, and the Halo zone, which saw surface samples assay as high as 5.08 g/t gold.

Golden Cariboo Resources last traded at $0.335 on the CSE.
