Interra Copper Concludes Expanded 12 Hole Maiden Drill Program

The maiden drill program at Interra Copper’s (CSE: IMCX) Thane Property in northern British Columbia has been completed. The junior mining firm reported the completion of the program this morning, marking the end of the 2021 drill season for the company.

The firms maiden drill program consisted of a total of twelve holes that drilled a total of 2,774 metres in aggregate on what is referred to as “traditional territory of the Takla and Tsay Keh Dene First Nations.” The program focused on the search for copper-gold porphyry deposits.

The program targeted the Cathedral Zone, which is currently the primary zone on the property, with the initial eight hole program expanded to a total of twelve holes. Two of the expansion holes were drilled into the Pinnacle Zone, which is located just north of Cathedral.

Despite drilling being completed, exploration is set to continue on site through the end of September, with Interra focused on understanding the geological controls, including the role of structure in the mineralized sections. The continued exploration is set to include IP, magnetics, and geochemistry and geological surveys, with such exploration to include the Gail Showing. The additional work is expected to result in potential 2022 drill targets.

“We are pleased to have been able to undertake the extra drilling, which yielded further results in the Cathedral Zone and tested the gold-rich Pinnacle Zone, this season. We are eager to receive assay results for cathedral holes as well as from the arsenic-supported breccia zones observed in pinnacle drill cores from the main structure and the hanging wall veins and stringers.”

Jason Nickel, CEO

Assay results from the drill program are expected to be released later this year.

Interra Copper last traded at $0.155 on the CSE.
