IT Company Accidentally Exposes Racist Hiring Practices and then Blames Former Employee

Virginia-based Arthur Grand Technologies is facing some online outrage after a job posting with what appears to be internal notes still on it might have revealed a little too much about its hiring practices.

The job post, which was uploaded on the job site Indeed, shows that the company was only looking to hire a white candidate, “only born US citizen,” for a long-term contract position.

When it was brought to their attention, the company apologized and blamed a “new junior recruiter” for the posting and claimed that they had terminated the recruiter for “violating [the company’s] policy.”

The company later posted a statement with an update that said it was a former employee who “took an existing posting and added discriminatory language, then reposted it through his own account.”

The posting has since been removed from Indeed but an archived copy shows that it was posted from an account belonging to Arthur Grand Technologies Inc.

The company, which was inundated by negative comments accusing it of racism, has turned off the comments for its statement on LinkedIn and has also taken down its Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts.
