Jushi Acquires Single Dispensary In Nevada To Vertically Integrate State
Jushi Holdings (CSE: JUSH) appears to be focused on vertically integrating its operations as a means of capturing more margin. The firm this morning announced that it has acquired a dispensary in Nevada, its first in the state, following its acquisition of Franklin Bioscience, a cultivator and processor in the state, earlier this year.
Currently branded as The Apothecarium, the dispensary itself is located in Las Vegas, however it is located off the strip in the downtown region. The retail location currently is qualified for the sale of both medical and recreational cannabis sales in the state.
Given that the acquisition is for a single dispensary, no terms were provided by the company in regards to financial consideration paid for the asset.
The acquisition marks the fourth state in which the company will have vertically integrated operations, following the states of Massachusetts, Virginia and Pennsylvania. The purchase follows the US$91.2 million acquisition of Nature’s Remedy in Massachusetts, which consisted of two dispensaries and a cultivation and production facility.
Jushi Holdings last traded at $5.41 on the CSE.
