Kirkland Lake Discoveries (TSXV: KLDC) has released a fresh batch of assay results from its 2026 diamond drilling program at the Mirado Project, with the results continuing to expand the area of mineralization.
The standout is KLM26-010, drilled roughly 120 metres south of any previously known mineralization. The hole returned narrow but exceptionally high-grade gold, suggesting the structures hosting the deposit remain live well beyond the area drilled to date.
The other half of the story is breadth. KLM26-011, collared about 100 metres west of an earlier hole, cut a long, lower-grade interval that extends the broader South Zone laterally to the west and down-dip. Together the two holes capture the dual character the company is now using to frame Mirado, which consist of wide zones where the rock opened up, and concentrated high-grade streaks along the connecting structures.
Highlight intercepts include:
- KLM26-010: 79.63 g/t gold over 2.1 metres from a depth of 336.5 metres
- Including 184.04 g/t gold over 0.8 metres
- KLM26-010: 53.46 g/t gold over 1.4 metres from a depth of 255.9 metres
- Including 165.89 g/t gold over 0.4 metres
- KLM26-011: 0.98 g/t gold over 62.3 metres from a depth of 189 metres
- KLM26-008: 1.88 g/t gold over 5.1 metres from a depth of 455 metres
- KLM26-008: 0.44 g/t gold over 17.7 metres from a depth of 136.4 metres
KLM26-008, drilled in the North Zone about 75 metres east of an earlier hole, hit repeated mineralized intervals over a broad downhole extent, reinforcing the read that the North Zone is a separate but related part of the same system. New geophysics data meanwhile is said to suggest that the South and North zones, along with high-grade intercepts to the south, occur within a broader connected structural corridor.
CEO Stefan Sklepowicz said the results “continue to build the case that Mirado is not a single isolated historical resource, but a broader gold system with multiple mineralized structures and repeated mineralized zones,” adding that the company is “accelerating our efforts to define the larger scale of the system.”
Operationally, a second diamond drill is now turning at Mirado, and two field teams have begun a regional prospecting program targeting interpreted extensions of the system.
Kirkland Lake Discoveries last traded at $0.33 on the TSX Venture.
