Kirkland Lake Discoveries (TSXV: KLDC) has released assays from eight holes at its Mirado gold project, extending mineralization westward near surface, downward below the historical resource, and 85 metres further along the North Zone trend.
Highlights from the results include:
- KLM26-019: 0.50 g/t gold over 91.0 metres from a depth of 52.0 metres
- Including 1.13 g/t gold over 23.8 metres
- KLM26-017: 18.99 g/t gold over 6.65 metres from a depth of 164.85 metres
- KLM26-016: 0.35 g/t gold over 28.0 metres from a depth of 10.6 metres
- KLM26-015: 1.33 g/t gold over 5.5 metres from a depth of 38.4 metres
- KLM26-013: 0.98 g/t gold over 35.0 metres from a depth of 52.0 metres
KLM26-019, drilled on the westernmost fence of the South Zone, pushes the near surface footprint roughly 130 metres to the northwest and contains higher grade internal intervals of 1.13 g/t gold over 23.76 metres and 10.94 g/t gold over 0.76 metres.
The 18.99 g/t intercept in KLM26-017 meanwhile sits below the historical resource and includes a one metre sample grading 125.91 g/t gold. Farther along strike, KLM26-018 returned a narrow mineralized interval at roughly 387 metres downhole.

“Today’s results are important as they demonstrate growth in three dimensions at KL South,” said chief executive Stefan Sklepowicz, who pointed to the North Zone extension and the high grade structures at depth as evidence the system continues to open up.
Kirkland Lake also drilled its first regional hole at the MZ Zone, about 500 metres west of Mirado, where KLM26-035 cut intense silica-chlorite-epidote alteration and pyrite mineralization. Assays remain pending for the hole. Sixteen holes in total are awaiting results, and a regional drill permit now covers the full KL South property.
Kirkland Lake Discoveries last traded at $0.285 on the TSX Venture.
