McFarlane Lake Plans 13,000 Metre Drill Program At Juby

McFarlane Lake Mining (CSE: MLM) has released details of its oncoming exploration program for the 2026 winter drill season. The company has indicated that they intend to drill up to 13,000 metres in aggregate at their newly acquired Juby Project, near Gowganda, Ontario.

The exploration program, set to be conducted this winter, is referred to as the “single largest” in the history of the Juby project. Data from the program will be used to refresh the current resource model in place, with the bulk of that current resource being based on drilling conducted prior to 2011.

As part of the resource refresh, McFarlane aims to reduce the cutoff grade used for modeling from 0.4 g/t to 0.25 g/t as a result of current economic conditions. McFarlane meanwhile is targeting a resource of 15 to 30 million tonnes of gold mineralization at a grade between 0.9 g/t and 1.1 g/t gold, with that effort focused around the Golden Lake and Juby zones primarily.

“The Juby Gold Project continues to demonstrate additional growth potential. Our upcoming drilling program, combined with the ongoing sampling of historic core, provides a dual approach to increasing our resources quickly and cost-effectively. We’re confident this next phase of exploration will unlock additional value for our shareholders,” commented Mark Trevisiol, CEO of McFarlane Lake.

Juby currently hosts a resource estimate of 1.01 million ounces of gold at 0.98 g/t in the indicated category, along with 3.17 million ounces of gold at 0.89 g/t in the inferred category.

The exploration program is also set to consist of a large sampling program, which aims to sample 2,000 metres of existing drill core. The effort is part of a larger program that is targeting 10,000 metres of previously unsampled drill core.

McFarlane Lake Mining last traded at $0.08 on the CSE.
