NexGen Encounters Off-Scale Mineralization In Two New Holes At PCE

NexGen Energy (TSX: NXE) continues to see exploration success at Patterson Corridor East. The firm this morning released a series of preliminary results from ongoing drilling at the project, which has seen a number of holes intersect off-scale mineralization.

The program has intersected some of the best holes to date with the results released this morning, including two holes that validate the growth in high-grade continuity. At the same time, a number of holes have intercepted broad intercepts of cumulative mineralization.

  • RK-25-246: 20.5m including 2.5m >10,000cps
  • RK-25-247: 18.0m including 2.5m >10,000cps
  • RK-25-251: 9.5m
  • RK-25-254: 19.5m including 5.0m >10,000cps including 2.0m >61,000cps
  • RK-25-256: 10.0m including 3.3m >10,000cps including 2.1m >61,000cps

Notably, hole RK-25-254 is said to be found 51 metres up-dip from hole RK-25-232, which earlier this year assayed out to 15.9% U3O8 over 15.0 metres. Hole RK-25-256 meanwhile is a 119 metres down-dip from the same hole. A high grade shoot has been determined to plunge a minimum of 200 metres at the discovery, from hole RK-24-222 through to hole RK-25-254.

Adding to this continuity is the fact that RK-25-254 intersected high grade mineralization at 454.4 metres depth, which is among the shallowest interceptions of massive uranium ever encountered by the company. Mineralization is open 300 metres up-dip and entirely contained within the basement rock, which is consistent with the nearby Arrow deposit.

“NexGen’s summer drill program is off to a fantastic start. PCE continues to deliver intense high-grade uranium at shallower depths than the world class Arrow deposit only 3.5km away. Early summer drilling results are building on emerging interpretations that include systematic repetition of high-grade shoots within the overall mineralized footprint, indicating potential for significant expansion at PCE,” commented Jason Craven, VP of Exploration for NexGen.

The current program to date has seen just under 22,000 metres drilled out of a planned 43,000 metre program for 2025. Since discovery last year, a total of 79 drill holes have been conducted totaling 53,088.9 metres at PCE, of which 48 holes have been mineralized.

NexGen Energy last traded at $9.97 on the TSX.
