NG Energy Begins Commissioning Pipeline At Sinu-9, Gas Sales To Start By Next Week
NG Energy (TSXV: GASX) has achieved a major milestone with the commissioning of a pipeline at its Sinu-9 block in Colombia. The commissioning follows a construction project that took nine months to complete.
The 28.3 kilometre pipeline connects the firms Brujo Central Processing Facility to Jobo, part of Colombia’s larger natural gas pipeline network. The pipeline, as per the company, is expected to transport roughly 4% of the entire country’s natural gas demand.
The commissioning of the pipeline follows the company recently completing the Brujo-1x well at Sinu-9, with flow tests achieving rates as high as 21 MMcf/d from just the upper zone. The well has been shut down and is awaiting production start upon the completion of related facilities. The Magico-1x well is expected to bring on further capacity by the end of September, bringing the Brujo Central Processing Facility to its 30 MMcf/d operating capacity.
“I am pleased to see everyone involved with this critical transition energy project come together and execute over the last three weeks, highlighted by the successful delivery and mobilization of vital equipment, including the treatment plant and two compressors as the Company enters the commissioning phase of our Phase-1 infrastructure project at Sinu-9. [..] After this week’s continued standard safety testing for the pipeline, we expect to start gas sales by the first week of September, with a gradual safe and steady ramp-up to full production by the end of September,” commented Don Sewell, President of NG Energy.
NG Energy last traded at $1.01 on the TSX Venture.
