The viral claim that the animated series Family Guy mocked Canada does not survive a side-by-side comparison with the actual episode. The circulating clip uses footage from “Road to India,” the season 14 finale that aired on May 22, 2016, then reframes it to look like Brian and Stewie have landed in Canada.
The original episode’s premise is straightforward. Brian falls for Padma, a tech support worker in India, and he and Stewie travel there to find her.
In the actual episode, the airport exterior is clearly labeled “Indira Gandhi International Airport.” The same sequence then shows Brian and Stewie inside the terminal with the same lines from the online clip, albeit it was changed to Canada.
In the reposted clip, the airport is presented as Toronto Pearson, and the social caption tells viewers that “Stewie & Brian visit Canada.” The dirty crowd shot is then made to read as a joke about Canada being filthy and chaotic. But that crowd shot matches the India sequence, not a separate Canada trip.

Snapshots from the actual episode:

The original joke was part of an India episode already built around stereotype-heavy culture humor. Reviews and summaries of “Road to India” describe it as an episode that leans on familiar clichés about India, including overpopulation, cattle reverence and Western spiritual-tourism tropes.
“Road to India” drew 2.59 million viewers and a 1.2 rating in adults 18 to 49 on its original airing, making it Fox’s highest-rated show that night. It later attracted criticism and viral recirculation tied to its portrayal of India, which is exactly why the source material was easy to mine for a misleading repost years later.
