Nvidia To Spend $500 Billion Building AI Infrastructure In US Over Next Four Years

Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) announced this morning they plan to manufacture AI supercomputers entirely within the United States, marking a significant shift in its production strategy. The company aims to produce up to $500 billion worth of AI infrastructure domestically over the next four years.

Jensen Huang, Nvidia’s CEO, emphasized the strategic importance of this move. “The engines of the world’s AI infrastructure are being built in the United States for the first time,” Huang said in a statement. “Adding American manufacturing helps us better meet the incredible and growing demand for AI chips and supercomputers, strengthens our supply chain, and boosts our resiliency.”

Nvidia’s Blackwell AI processors have already entered production at TSMC facilities in Phoenix, Arizona. To expand its footprint, Nvidia is partnering with Foxconn and Wistron to establish supercomputer manufacturing plants in Houston and Dallas, Texas. These facilities are expected to begin mass production within 12 to 15 months.

The company has secured over one million square feet of manufacturing space across Arizona and Texas to support this initiative. In addition to chip production, Nvidia is working with Amkor and SPIL for packaging and testing operations in Arizona.

The plan is expected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs and contribute significantly to U.S. economic security. Nvidia also plans to leverage its own advanced technologies, such as digital twins via NVIDIA Omniverse and robotics through NVIDIA Isaac GR00T, to design and operate its facilities efficiently.
