While results continue to be released for its winter drill program, Power Nickel (TSXV: PNPN) has begun summer exploration at its Nisk property in Quebec.

The program is set to amount to 8,000 metres in aggregate, with twenty holes currently planned to be drilled. Drilling is to be focused on the Lion zone, where the company has encountered copper, platinum, palladium, gold, silver and nickel. The program aims to demonstrate depth continuity at the zone, and to test for lateral occurrences of similar polymetallic mineralized lenses.

Initial drilling is set to test below PN-24-051, which intersected 2.51% copper, 0.18% nickel, 13.95 g/t silver, 3.20 g/t palladium, 19.59 g/t platinum, 0.24 g/t gold, and 13.95 g/t silver over 11.40 metres, as well as below holes PN-24-059 and PN-24-062.

The Lion Zone was initially discovered following drill testing an electromagnetic survey anomaly that was associated with a surface expression of ultramafic rocks. Two more anomalies are untested as of yet from that same electromagnetic survey, with another survey under consideration presently to identify further anomalies on the property.

“Polymetallic deposits like Norilsk, Platreef, and Sakatti are literally the world’s most valuable due do their nature. They are very rare, but they do exist, and Nisk is giving every indication that it will follow in this line of polymetallic discoveries. Steve and our team are on the site finalizing the short- and medium-term exploration plans. I have been debriefed on what is coming and would describe my excitement level (1-10) as an 11,” commented Power Nickel CEO Terry Lynch.

Power Nickel last traded at $0.65 on the TSX Venture.
