Relay Medical Corp (CSE: RELA) early this morning announced the launch of its high-throughput COVID-19 rapid testing solution. The solution aims on administer rapid testing and tracking in settings that experience high volumes, such as workplaces, schools, airports, and sports and entertainment events.
The rapid testing solution is being offered through the firms joint venture with that of Fio Corporation, referred to as the Fionet Rapid Response Group. The solution is referred to as a “complete toolkit” by the company, that is able to conduct testing in high volume settings through the use of rapid antigen diagnostic tests, with the solution reportedly working as a mobile testing lab.
To enble up to 100 tests per hour, the process requires just two personnel, two Fionet mobile devices, and related tabletop accessories. Further, the process is scalable to well over 1,000 tests per hour with the addition of further personnel and devices. Test turn around can be completed in as littles as 20 minutes, resulting in minimal disruption to services.

The solution comes at an opportune time, with the United States now demanding that all air passengers arriving from a foreign country will be required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 result from no more than 3 days before departure. With the travel industry looking to get back on its feet, Fionet’s rapid testing solution provides an opportunity for efficient testing to occur to enable a return to historic levels of air travel.
