SKRR Exploration Mobilizes Field Crew For Leland Property Winter Drill Program

SKRR Exploration (TSXV: SKRR) has mobilized crews for its winter drill program at the Leland gold project, located in east-central Saskatchewan. The program will look to complete 1,600 metres of drilling on the property, 23 kilometres south of SSR Mining’s Seabee Gold operation.

The drill program that is currently planned by the company will focus on one kilometre of strike of the gold mineralized shear system between the Simon Lake and Irving Lake showings. The company currently intends to conduct a total of 9 drill holes from 6 pads within the showing.

Targets for the program are based on surface rock grab samples and trenching results, along with the geophysical data collected on the property this past summer. That detailed program has included prospecting and mapping, soil geochemical sampling, and ground truthing among other work. Samples during that program had returned values as high as 2.1 g/t gold via grab sample.

Furthermore, a program conducted in 2019 saw channel samples return gold grades as high as 5.4 g/t over 0.65 metres from channel samples, as well as the discovery of five new gold mineralization occurrences along the same trend, with values as high as 3.5 g/t gold.

“SKRR and our drilling partner Terra Logic have been in recent contact with ALS labs in Saskatchewan and anticipate assays from the Olson project very soon. The announcement of the commencement of drilling at the Leland Property and the upcoming assays results lay the foundation for an exciting 2021 for SKRR Exploration.”

Sherman Dahl, CEO of SKRR Exploration

The now mobilized drill program will be the first to test the gold-bearing orogenic system.

SKRR Exploration last traded at $0.25 on the TSX Venture.
