Snowline Gold Says Drilling Is Ongoing In Yukon
Despite speculation to the contrary, Snowline Gold (TSXV: SGD) this morning confirmed that exploration remains ongoing at its Rogue Project in the Yukon.
This comes despite the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyak Dun, who’s territory the Rogue Project falls under, on July 3 stating that all mining related activity must pause as a result of the collapse of Victoria Gold’s (TSX: VGCX) heap leach facility at its Eagle Gold Mine. After making the stating initially on July 3, it appeared to be subsequently reaching out to operators individually in an effort to convey the message.

Snowline Gold however confirmed this morning that drilling activity remains ongoing, with five separate drill rigs currently in operation across its properties. Three rigs are turning currently on the Valley target, while one is focused on the Jupitar target at the nearby Einarson project, and the fifth rig is testing the Aurelius target.
The company says that it has drilled in excess of 16,000 metres during the current campaign, with 12,500 of those metres focused on Valley and 1,067 metres focused on the Cujo target. The company currently plans to drill test over 25,000 metres under the currently ongoing program.
