Soldera Mining Appoints New CEO, Executive Chairman Of The Board

Soldera Mining (CSE: SOLD) this morning announced a management shakeup. The company has seen a former Magna International executive, Gary Benninger, appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer, as well as Executive Chairman of the Board.

Benninger is notably a pioneer in the electric vehicle space, having developed Magna’s first electric vehicle in 1986. He spent over 25 years at Magna, eventually reaching the titled of Executive Vice President of Engineer and R&D. Benninger has also served as the Executive Vice President & COO at the Becker Group, and in the role of President & CEO of the Amerityre Corporation.

In terms of education, Benninger has a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D in physics from West Virginia University, and spent the first five years of his career working as a research scientist for NASA.

Benninger is to takeover the role of CEO of Soldera effective immediately. The current CEO, Faizaan Lalani, meanwhile will be taking on the role of Chief Financial Officer and remaining on the firms board of directors.

Soldera Mining last traded at $0.95 on the CSE.
