Taiga Motors Completes Initial Electric Snowmobile Production, Targets Deliveries In Early 2022

Taiga Motors Corporation (TSX: TAIG) announced today that it has completed the production of its first customer-ready electric snowmobiles. The firm is targeting to begin initial deliveries in early 2022.

“With the sleds soon ready for the snow, we are excited by the idea of our customers being able to ride on these cutting-edge machines that embody winter exploration without compromise,” said CEO Sam Bruneau.

The vehicle manufacturer has been working in increasing its production capacity at its 130,000 square feet facility in Montreal. “By leveraging its innovative clean-sheet design, scalable technology, and refined mass-production processes… 2022 will allow the manufacturer to increase vehicle delivery across its product line,” read the company’s statement.

The firm also started installing off-road charging stations through the forests of the Mauricie and Lanaudière regions in Québec, with each featuring Level 2 chargers and two Level 3 DC fast chargers.

In November, the company reported its Q3 2021 financials highlighting a $110.1 million cash balance and a $5.1 million net loss.

Taiga Motors last traded at $5.95 on the TSX.
