Terra Balcania Identifies Polymetallic Sulphides In First Drill Hole

Terra Balcanica (CSE: TERA) has started off its 2022 drill program strong at its Viogor-Zanik property in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The firm this morning reported preliminary results from the first hole conducted on the property.

The company has reportedly seen its first drill hole intersect a massive polymetallic sulphide vein at a shallow depth of just 29 meters deep. The hole was conducted at the Cumavici target in the northwest sector of the property, with two intervals reportedly intersected.

The Cumavici target was first discovered via surface sampling on the property, with one rock chip sample assaying as much as 0.327 g/t gold, 31.7 g/t silver, 2.2% lead and 20.1% zinc. The system is believed to be a high-grade lateral system, with the vein currently mapped to over 7.2 kilometres in length, while remaining open along strike and down dip.

Assays for the drill hole are currently pending.

The presence of a shallow, polymetallic, massive sulphide, vein-hosted system at Cumavici confirms our detailed targeting over the past 20 months. The Viogor-Zanik projects hosts epithermal and porphyry targets that are being tested by our inaugural drill program. Cumavici is a 7.2 kilometers zone of mapped intermediate sulfidation veins and our focus is to define the extents of the mineralized footprint,” commented CEO Aleksandar Miskovic.

The company will next drill planned step out holes from this first initial drill hole, with the company intending to test the system along strike to the northwest. Future drilling will continue to test the continuity of the vein along strike and down dip, while future drill targets continue to be generated to the southeast and northwest.

The current drill program consists of a planned 3,500 metres of exploratory drilling.

Terra Balcanica last traded at $0.08 on the CSE.
