President Donald Trump predicted a political future for boxer and internet personality Jake Paul at a rally in northern Kentucky on Wednesday, offering his “complete and total endorsement” if Paul chooses to run for office.
Trump made the remarks at Verst Logistics in Hebron after inviting Paul onstage. “I’m going to make a prediction that you will be, in the not-too-distant future, running for political office,” Trump told the crowd. “And you have my complete and total endorsement. He’s a great guy, he’s a courageous guy, he’s a talented guy. He’s a hell of a fighter, too, by the way.”
Paul, 29, has not said he plans to run for any office. He spoke briefly before Trump’s remarks, crediting the president with teaching him courage.
“What Mr. Trump has taught me is courage,” Paul said. “We never back down from a fight, even if they’re much bigger than you. God’s got us, Trump’s got us.” The two were later seen dancing together to Trump’s signature YMCA in a TikTok video Paul posted after the event.
Paul has 19.5 million TikTok followers and around 20 million YouTube subscribers. He backed Trump publicly ahead of the 2024 election, urging fans to vote for him to “quite literally save America,” and has remained a vocal supporter since — calling for fans to boycott the Super Bowl halftime show earlier this year and posting in support of ICE enforcement actions.
The rally was interrupted when an elderly woman in the crowd collapsed. Dr. Mehmet Oz, now Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, was present and helped the woman. After she recovered, Trump joked that his remarks about California Governor Gavin Newsom had caused her to “not feel so good.”

Trump also used the Kentucky stop to endorse a primary challenger against Rep. Thomas Massie, whose district hosted the rally. “He’s the worst person,” Trump said of Massie. “A complete and total disaster as a congressman and frankly as a human being.”
The two have clashed repeatedly over Trump’s legislative agenda and Massie’s handling of the Epstein files. Trump also announced plans to tap the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in an effort to lower gas prices.
