Tucker Carlson Breaks Up With Fox News

It is currently being reported that Fox News has parted ways with Tucker Carlson.

In a statement, the company stated that “FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”

The statement also indicated that the last program for Carlson will officially be Friday’s episode of Tucker Carlson Tonight, and that in its place Fox News Tonight will air this evening at 8PM Eastern in replacement of his show. Fox News will be will be an interim show, which will be conducted by rotating personalities until a permanent replacement is found.

Notably, Fox’s TV schedule has yet to be updated to reflect the changes.

A reason for Carlson’s departure was not provided, however it comes on the heals of the corporation settling a lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems at a cost of $787.5 million, one of the highest settlements in US history.

Among others, the legal case outlined chats among Fox News anchors ridiculing privately their guests that echoed the assertion that the 2020 US presidential election was stolen by Joe Biden from Donald Trump. In the chats, it was revealed that some of the news presenters themselves don’t believe the guests but kept on interviewing them on the show to lend some credibility.

At the same time, a lawsuit is ongoing in relation to Smartmatic, another voting machine provider.
