Verses AI Selected For Involvement in EU Commission’s dAIEDGE Project

Verses AI (NEO: VERS) has been selected as part of a consortium for a research and innovation grant from the EU Commission. The grant is part of a Horizon Europe project referred to as dAIEDGE.

dAIEDGE is set to be a network of excellence for “distributed, trustworthy, efficient and scalable AI at the Edge.” The project is focused on bringing together edge computing and artificial intelligence to enable devices to make decisions within milliseconds, processing data at the point of origin. Such tech is required for the purpose of intelligence service robots, personalized digital assistants, and autonomous driving.

The project as a whole is aimed at creating a network of excellence centers for AI-based edge solutions, which is to support and ensure rapid development and adoption of edge AI tech. Such items included within that goal is hardware, software, frameworks and tools related to AI-based edge solutions.

With respect to Verses specifically, the company has been awarded a €418,000 grant in connection with the project. Verses, under the consortium that was selected, is expected to lead and contribute to several working packages and tasks associated with the project. Included responsibilities include the definition of the AI lighthouse strategy, identifying Edge AI application requirements, and trends of the use of such tech in industry.

Finally, Verses is also to provide a contextual model, referred to as Hyperspace Modelling Language, as well as the communications protocol Hyperspace Transaction Protocol.

The consortium is made up of 37 organizations focused on completing the dAIEDGE project.
