Wesdome Drills 41.2 G/T Gold Over 51.2 Metres At New High-Grade Zone

Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd. (TSX: WDO) announced today the drilling results from the recently discovered high-grade zone in the footwall of the Kiena Deep A Zone. The results highlighted a yield of 41.2 g/t gold over a core length of 51.2 metres.

Highlights of the drill results from the footwall zone include:

  • Hole 6760W1: 41.2 g/t gold over 51.2 metres
  • Hole 6742W3: 27.7 g/t gold over 12.3 metres

With these new gold intercepts, the company interprets that the footwall zone extends over 300 metres along the plunge.

The company also reported the results of the ongoing drilling at the Kiena Deep A Zone. Highlights of the results include:

  • Hole 6750: 122.1 g/t Au over 7.5 metres
  • Hole 6742W3: 96.1 g/t Au over 8.0 metres

The discovery of the new high-grade gold zone at the footwall of the A Zone was announced by Wesdome on March 23, 2021. Drilling at the A Zone, which has been the company’s focus for several months, has been ongoing to expand the zone laterally and down plunge.
