Andrew Tate Slapped with Lawsuit in Alleged UK Sexual Assault Case

Prominent social media influencer and former kickboxer Andrew Tate has been served legal papers from lawyers representing four women who have accused him of rape and sexual assault.

The women, in their late 20s and early 30s, are pursuing civil charges against Tate for alleged offences that took place between 2013 and 2016 while he resided in the UK. Their campaign on Crowdjustice, supporting the legal action against him, has amassed over £18,500.

Tate, currently under house arrest in Bucharest on human trafficking charges, was delivered the letter in person by law firm McCue Jury & Partners. The objective of the lawsuit, according to the firm, is to secure “justice, accountability, and compensation for Tate’s victims.” In addition, they aim to instigate a UK criminal probe into the former kickboxer’s supposed crimes, with the aim of securing a prosecution and conviction in the UK on top of the charges he already faces in Romania.

The legal document details serious allegations made by the women, including violent rapes, grave physical assaults, and controlling and manipulative behavior. The high court in London could initiate legal proceedings against Tate, based on his response to these accusations. One of the women recalled a harrowing incident in 2014, where she was assaulted by Tate to the point of losing consciousness.

One claimant involved in the lawsuit said, “it feels good to finally be taking a positive step forward,” and expressed hope that their claim would inspire others to speak out against their abusers. Matthew Jury, a managing partner of the representing law firm, emphasized the importance of this step and criticized Tate for denying the allegations and questioning the victims’ authenticity.

Tate was put under house arrest in Romania this past April after prosecutors’ request to extend his detention was dismissed by a court. The social media influencer, along with his brother and two other Romanian women, are collectively accused of rape, human trafficking, and organized crime, but all have denied any wrongdoing.
