Baselode Energy Set To Launch 19,500 Metre Drill Program In Search Of Uranium
Baselode Energy (TSXV: FIND) is set to undertake a massive $12.0 million exploration campaign in the Athabasca Region of Saskatchewan, as it looks to identify further uranium mineralization.
The massive campaign is set to be spread across three projects in the region, Bear, Catharsis, and Hook. Drilling is set to amount to approximately 19,500 metres across the three properties, which is set to target largely untested areas.
The program breaks down as follows:
- Hook Property:
- ACKIO will see 35 – 50 drill holes conducted across 12,000 metres, which is to be conducted after an ANT survey scheduled for May. Program aims to drill test along strike of mineralized structure.
- 16 – 20 drill holes across 4,000 metres will test five different targets outside of Ackio.
- Catharis Property:
- 8 – 10 drill holes across 2,000 metres are set to test five untested targets, while a 10,000 line-km magnetics and radiometrics survey is to occur concurrently.
- Bear Property:
- 6 – 8 drill holes across 1,500 metres will test one to two targets, while a 2,000 line-km airborne survey is planned to occur later in the year.
Drilling at Hook has been designed to expand the near surface zones at Ackio, while the ANT survey is intended to target the depth of the deposit. Drilling elsewhere across Baselode’s land package meanwhile is largest intended to begin the process of discovering new deposits by drill testing promising exploration targets with large potential.
Drilling is set to start in two weeks at the Catharis property, followed by Bear in May and the Hook property in early June, beginning with Ackio.
The exploration program is said to be fully funded.
Baselode Energy last traded at $0.435 on the TSX Venture.
